Bloxham and Barlow

Bloxham and Barlow is an independent estate agent based on Worle high street. The business started 1995, 22 years on it has 10 staff, some of whom have been with the company for 18 years.

“The fact that we have been around for so long speaks volumes,” says Managing Director, Chris, “people know of us and know what we do. We’ve bounced back since the recession and 2017 will be yet another good year for us.

“There is a lot of competition on the Worle High Street but we have good market share, and our pipe-line for sales is good. We make sure that we really look after our clients and work hard to make sure that sales go through. Our fall-out rate is a lot lower than others and that is down to sheer hard work.

Standing out from the crowd

“We also invest in marketing, and were actually looking to have a new window display installed when we came across the intouch display screens. Although installing a screen was quite a big step-change, we all believed it would be beneficial for the business and would help us to stand out from the crowd.

“Steve and the team from intouch were very helpful and the whole thing was up and running within a day. They are a very good company to work with – you just don’t have to worry about a thing.  

Improved visual impact

“We used to have about 60 display cards in our window. We took these down the day before intouch came to install the screen and honestly wondered why we hadn’t we done it sooner. Its so nice to bring the light in and see the high street.

“The through-glass touch screen has brightened up our window display no end, and makes us look more modern; it has certainly raised our profile on the high street. We all love the visual impact, the big, bright screen stands out - I’m told of an evening it’s incredibly bright - and everyone responds well to it.

“It has also improved the way we market properties. You see people use the screen, then come in to get the details. It’s great being able to show vendors that their property is going ‘live’ on Worle High street.

A great tool to have

“We chose the advertising option, Worle high street is very busy and it’s a good place to advertise. We have 80% properties and then some paid advertising. We also use the screen as a community information hub and for charities, local schools or sports clubs, it’s a nice way to give something back. All in all, it’s a great tool to have. I’d have no hesitation in recommending a through-glass touch screen and would be happy to provide a reference.”
